The title on this
barrel is a bit strange. Although it is labeled as a
76.2mm gun, this is actually the M7 3in gun for use on
the M10 Tank Destroyer. It measures out perfectly to
1/72nd scale, however, it is lacking the flared tip that
this barrel had. Granted, it's not likely to be noticable
on the built model. Once again, the barrel is marred a
bit by grooves in the metal left by the lathe. I plan on
painting some Mr. Surfacer on mine, and then sanding it
smooth. That should take care of the problem.
