M4A1 Sherman Detail Set PART
Kit #P72-120

Better late than never. This is a pretty old set, but I've only now gotten around to getting ahold of one myself. It's designed for use with the Revell (Matchbox/Monogram) M4A1 Sherman, which is not a very good model, thus I've never had an inclination to get this set. However, I saw it at a good price, and there are plenty of useful bits in this set that can be used for any Sherman kit I have. Plus, I wanted to fill a hole in my kit list...

Typical comments I always give: the tools are mostly useless, being much too flat. The track return skids are a necessity. All of the brush guards, tool mounting brackets, periscope details and storage racks are highly useful. I'm not sure about the hatches; they may be too thin, but I'll have to assemble them before making a final judgement. The fenders may not be applicable to any kit other than the Revell kit, depending on their length. The Revell kit is too small for 1/72nd, so these fenders likely are as well. Overall a decent set if you can find it at a decent price.
