| This set is probably my
all-time favorite accessory/detail set ever released in
our scale. When you refer to the .50cal machinegun comparison article, you can see the great need we
have for a set just like this one. Some of the newer
3D-printed guns are very nice, but I don't think that
they are yet at the level of finesse that they could
compete with the barrels in this set from Master Model.
The gun barrels come as illustrated in the photos below,
pre-assembled. So all you need to do is to cut off the
barrel to be replaced, drill a 0.5mm hole in the
machinegun receiver, and superglue in the replacement.
These will make our turret MGs look absolutely amazing. The only thing I could have asked
for would be some photoetched barrel-changing handles,
because those are not exactly easy to craft ourselves,
considering their complex shape. And perhaps the firing
grips, as those often need replacing as well. That would
have made a small fret of photoetched more worth
including.
