The machine guns in this set are the same spectacular weapons included with their M8 and M20 Armored car kits, but with infantry tripod mounts instead of vehicle mounts. Also included in the set are two bazookas (anti-tank rockets), with the main tubes cast in resin and the details in etched brass. This will make excellent accessories for stowing in halftracks and placement in dioramas. Although the etching is high grade, I am sure that the gun mounts would look better being replicated in 3-dimensional rods, instead of the flat brass parts. Since I can never find enough .50cal machine guns to go with my tanks, I will likely buy several of these sets, but then I'll be stuck with a bunch of bazookas I won't need :) Here is a suggestion for Extratech: how about making another set with only machine guns, but this time with vehicle mounts; and perhaps pair them with .30cal machine guns on vehicle mounts as well. I think that would be a hot selling item. |
