Kit #72006
Article by Doug Chaltry; last updated 14 September 2016

This is an older set that was eventually replaced with set #72021; regardless, both are now out of production. (Interesting that the title of the set is "Firefly Vc" when only two of the nine vehicles are actually Firefly VCs.) The markings are very nicely printed, being made during the period when Bison had their decals printed by Microscale. Colors are bright and vivid, and printed in perfect register. The set contains markings for the following vehicles:

  • Sherman II "FOX". RMASG. Gold Beach, Normandy, D-Day 1944
  • Sherman V Artillery Observation Tank. 147th (Essex Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. Germany. February, 1945
  • Sherman V Artillery Observation Tank. 5th Field Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery. 7th Armoured Division. Villers Bocage, France. June 11, 1945
  • Sherman VC. 4th County of London Yeomanry, 7th Armoured Division. Villers Bocage, France. June 11, 1945
  • Sherman I Hybrid Tulip. 1st Coldstream Guards. Bremen, Germany. April 1945
